Rangar Breweries Ltd. in Mehatpur, Himachal Pradesh constitutes the spirits part of the Yadu group of businesses.

Established in 1977, Rangar Breweries Ltd. is one of India’s oldest and largest liquor manufacturing units.

Some of the well-known brands from Rangar include Double Dog Whisky, Sea Rock Blended Scotch, Alexanders Rum and Red Rose Gin.

The acquisition of the brewery was a part of Yadu Corporation’s forward integration strategy, whereby the production of molasses in own sugar units sufficiently meets the demands of the distillery at full capacity utilization. The unit is based on dual feed raw material mode, meaning spirit can be made from both grain and molasses. To further boost its production capacity of bottled and branded products, the company has tied up with bottling units in various parts of the country.
